Deworming your Pet

We advise to deworm your pet at least every 3 months. If you see worms in your pets feces , then you deworm and repeat this in 3 weeks . The product we use is the general dewormer MILBACTOR and is administered orally according to weight. Milbactor can be purchased at the clinic and can be applied by the owner. ( unless the deworming is done in the context of travelling and has to be registered in the passport )
MILBACTOR for dogs is indicated for the treatment of mixed infections by gastrointestinal nematodes such as roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum), whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) and cestodes such as (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp., Mesocestoides spp.). MILBACTOR can also be used in the prevention of heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) disease.
MILBACTOR for cats is indicated for the treatment of mixed infections by gastro-intestinal nematodes such as roundworms (Toxocara cati), hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and cestodes such as (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp.).
For those tricky cats who put up too much of a fight trying to administer a pill, we stock the dewormer Profender, a pipette which is a liquid to put on the back of the cat’s neck.
